Company History & Milestones


Foretech Electronics was founded in March 1987 by four employees with more than 10 years of experience in electroplating processes. The Company’s initial core competence was in reel-to-reel gold/nickel/tin-lead electroplating of computer, communication, and automotive terminals.
 

March 1987 Company founded; Number of employees: 4; Monthly capacity: 20,500 Kg.
March 1993 Moved to current Taoyuan location as business expanded into six electroplating lines and number of employees rose from 4 to 30. Total factory area: 1,350 square meters.
May 1997 Established the palladium/nickel electroplating and the stainless steel electroplating lines.
December 1997 Received the ISO-9002 Certification for Quality Management Systems.
April 1999 Obtained the ISO-14001 Certification for Environmental Management Systems.
May 2000 Completed construction of phase 2 of Taoyuan facilities to accommodate the addition of two silver electroplating lines.
July 2001

Introduced the industry’s first selective adhesive film plating facilities.

April 2002

Completed Recertification of ISO-14001.

May 2003 Increased capital to NTD 62 Million and expanded to 15 electroplating lines; in the same year, also completed Recertification of ISO-9001.
October 2003 Launched lead-free electroplating processes.
2004 Further expanded product range to computer connectors, communications and consumer/auto electronics products.
2005 Recertified for ISO-14001 and selected to be part of Industrial Development Bureau’s “Environmental Management Systems Improvement Initiative”.
2006 Increased capital to NTD 80 Million.
2008 Capital amount increased to one hundred twenty million NT dollars.
2009 Moved to the Kuanyin plant, and floor area of approximately 1,570 pings; total area of factory houses up to 4, pings; production lines with 15 machines, 20 lines.
2010 In March, we passed the AFAQ ISO-9001 & 14001 management system certification.
